Coimbatore: Condemning the hike in petrol, diesel and cooking gas prices, Congress party cadres led by the Executive Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Congress party, Mayura Jayakumar arrived in a bullock cart to kick-start a signature drive against the Central Government in front of a petrol bunk in the Gandhipuram area of Coimbatore.

The Tamil Nadu Congress leader Alagiri had announced that a signature drive would be held before all petrol bunks across Tamil Nadu to condemn the seemingly unceasing rise in prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas.

Following this, they started a signature movement on the rise of fuel prices and got the public to sign in protest against the Central Government.
