Corporation Commissioner inspects East Zone and Central Zone in Coimbatore Corporation
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, Raja Gopal Sunkara inspected East Zone Ward No.67, 69 Ramanathapuram Health Inspector Office and Nanjundapuram Urban Primary Health Center on Tuesday.
He enquired with the frontline staff at the Ramanathapuram Health Inspector's office premises about going door-to-door and testing people for colds, flu, coughs, shortness of breath, body fatigue, body temperature, oxygen levels, and to record their details in the Covid-19 survey.
The Corporation Commissioner also insisted that frontline staff need to test everyone in every house. He said their task was very important and needs to be done very well. He cautioned them to wear face masks while working and to wash their hands frequently with sanitizers.
He inspected the Nanjundapuram Urban Primary Health Center under Ward No.75 and enquired with pregnant mothers about their health and on vaccinations and treatments for them.
He also enquired about maternal health care card registration, maintenance records, outpatient records and regarding Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Scheme subsidy. Later, they visited and inspected the VOC Park under Central Zone, Ward No. 72.
City Engineer A. Lakshmanan, Officer Raja, East Zone Assistant Commissioner Murugan, Zonal Health Officer Chandran and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
