Man arrested for stabbing brother who refused to give him money to drink alcohol near Pollachi
Coimbatore: Arumugam (36) hails from Bhadrakaliamman Kovil Road, Nehru Nagar, near Pollachi and worked as a painter. He is married and has five children.
His brother Krishnamurthy (34) has been doing painting business with his brother. Krishnamurthy is said to have been involved in a dispute with his brother asking for money to drink alcohol before leaving for work this morning. Krishnamurthy was enraged when Arumugam refused to pay for alcohol and stabbed him with a nearby knife.
Arumugam was critically injured and was rushed to the Pollachi Government Hospital by his relatives. But doctors declared him brought dead. Pollachi East Police went to the spot and sent the body of the deceased Arumugam to the Government Hospital for autopsy. His brother Krishnamurthy was then arrested and is being investigated.
