Rs. 2.5 lakhs worth camera stolen at a studio in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Person who pretended to test a Rs. 2.5 lakhs worth camera for buying absconded from the shop in Coimbatore. Police are on lookout for the culprit through a CCTV camera.
The Lakshmi Photo Center, owned by Premchander, is located near the North Coimbatore flyover on Crosscut Road, Coimbatore. Balasubramanian from Ratnapuri, Coimbatore works in this shop. On the 1st a young man came there on the pretext of buying a camera. He asked for a camera called the Panasonic Sigma. He then bought it and left the store to test the camera. Balasubramaniam followed him.
The man ran fast from there and went downstairs to a two-wheeler where his friend was ready wearing a helmet and fled from there stealing the camera. Balasubramanian has lodged a complaint at the Kattoor Police Station, Gandhipuram, Coimbatore. Following the complaint, the police have filed a case and are looking for the person who stole the camera with CCTV footage.
