The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, (ICCIC) welcomes lockdown relaxations that will be implemented from 5 July

Coimbatore: On behalf of trade, industry and the general public, The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, (ICCIC), under the leadership of its President, C Balasubramanian, welcoming lifting of lockdown, thanked M. K. Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for responding to the requests of the ICCIC.



Coimbatore: On behalf of trade, industry and the general public, The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, (ICCIC), under the leadership of its President, C Balasubramanian, welcoming lifting of lockdown, thanked M. K. Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for responding to the requests of the ICCIC.

In the a statement that was issued by the President of the ICCIC, the organisation welcomed the permission granted to the shopping centres and malls to do business from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. “We welcome whole heartedly the permission granted to of all textile shops and jewellery stores to do trade with 50% customers,” read the statement.

The permission granted to keep places of worship open, with all COVID protocols followed was yet another move that the chamber thanked the CM for. The chamber and its members also welcomed the CMs decision to grant permission for state owned transport fleet to operate intra-district and inter-districts sans air conditioning with 50% passenger capacity. Allowing small and large eateries, hotels and restaurants to cater to guests between 6.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.with 50% customers allowing dine and parcel services, was also appreciated by the chamber and its members.“We also welcome the announcement of cancellation of system of E-Pass and E-registration for travelling from one district to another district”, the statement read.

The chamber and its members appreciate the Chief Minister for all the initiatives taken to control COVID spread and also step by step lockdown relaxation measures and expressed hope that the same will help everyone to earn their livelihood besides reviving the economy.
