Liquor bottles seized during vehicle inspection by police at Kinathukadavu
Coimbatore: Sub-Inspector Arul Prakash of Kinathukadavu Police Station was inspecting a vehicle at Kinathukadavu old check post area in Coimbatore district.
A person who got out of the lorry on Veerappagavundanur Road at that time walked around suspiciously.
The Sub- Inspector Arul Prakash, who was inspecting the vehicle at the time, stopped the man and searched the bag in his hand and found 6 liquor bottles. Investigation revealed that he was Abbas from Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore and had come from the neighboring state of Kerala to sell liquor at a higher price as the Tasmac store in Tamil Nadu was closed.
The police confiscated the liquor bottles and arrested Abbas and are conducting an investigation
