12 sovereign of jewellery stolen by attacking woman near Singanallur: 3 arrested.
Coimbatore: Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident in which a 38-year-old woman from Singanallur SIHS Colony, Coimbatore, was attacked by a gang of four men who broke into her house covering their faces with cloth and snatched 12 sovereign gold jewellery.
Coimbatore City Crime Branch Deputy Commissioner Uma is investigating the case while the Singanallur police have registered the case. During the interrogation, police arrested Dinesh Kumar, 26, of RS Puram New Scheme Road, Saravanakumar, 26, of Chinnavedampatti and Ashok Kumar, 28, of Telungupalayam.
A special team of police are looking for 4 people, including the leader of the gang involved in the case. It has been revealed that the arrested culprits have already been involved in jewellery theft by intimidating the public at some places in Coimbatore.
