Farmers worried as wild boars damage tapioca plants at night in Gothawadi near Kinathukadavu


Coimbatore: Farmers in the Gothawadi area near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore have been cultivating tapioca in an area of about 50 acres and is being prepared for harvest.



But the crops are damaged by herds of wild boars that enter fields at night and are causing great harm to the farmers. Farmers have complained of huge losses in tapioca cultivation.



The farmers said that the forest department should take action to prevent wild boars from entering tapioca fields.
