AITUC District Street Vendors Workers' Union petitions District Collector to allow businesses to operate at all places following lockdown relaxations


Tirupur: The Tirupur District Street Vendors Workers' Union filed a petition at the District Collector's Office demanding that street vendors should be allowed to do business in their own places since Covid-19 cases have been declining in Tirupur district and relaxations are currently being announced.



They Union asked the district administration to provide business proof and biometric identity cards to all merchants and said the Act of 2014 and the Tamil Nadu Roadside Traders Act and Rules of 2015 should be fully implemented in all localities.
