Forest department has warned motorists of wildlife movement on Valparai Aliyar road.

Public transport was banned and traffic was less, causing the roads to be deserted in the Valparai hills. The road from Valparai to Pollachi is located at a distance of 30 km in the forest. The forest area from Valparai to Aliyar is under forest cover.
Elephants, leopards, bison, deer, bears, wild boars, lion tails monkeys and monkeys live here.
Currently there is no traffic congestion on the roads due to the lockdown period so the wildlife started entering roads looking for food.
On the road from Valparai to Pollachi, deer and wild boar roam the roads in broad daylight in the Attakatti Kadamparai area, causing motorists to slow down. Valparai Wildlife Sanctuary Jayachandran has advised motorists to proceed with extreme caution.
