Lorry seized transporting mineral resources near Kinathukadavu - Minerals department officials take action
Coimbatore: Sub Tahsildar of the Sand Mining Squad Murthy was engaged in a vehicle inspection last evening in the Veerappagavundanur area near Kinathukadavu.
When they inspected a Tipper truck that was passing by at the time revealed that he had tried to smuggle the mineral resources to Kerala without proper permission.
The Deputy Tahsildar of the Sand Mining Squad has lodged a complaint with the Kinathukadavu Police and the lorry was seized along with the stones. Kinathukadavu police have registered a case against Ravichandran, a lorry driver from Pollachi Aliyar Nagar area and are investigating the complaint.
