Vaccination camps against Covid-19 in Valparai halted due to shortage of vaccine stock
Coimbatore: Valparai has been hosting special vaccination camps against Covid-19 for the last one month to vaccinate various people between 18 and 45 years, as well as the differently-abled.
Vaccination camps were held not only in Valparai but also across the various tea estates in Valparai until last Thursday. The lack of vaccine stock has frustrated and disappointed people in Valparai who eagerly queue up to get vaccinated. Those who needed to get their second dose of vaccination against Covid-19 have also been affected by lack of vaccine stock.
Dr. Babu Lakshmanan, Chief, Valparai Regional Resource Center attributed dearth of vaccine stock as the reason for vaccination camps being halted in Valparai.
