Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore plea for more lockdown relaxations
Coimbatore: The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, and its Members the innovative entrepreneurs of this region, appreciated Chief Minister's initiatives to bring down the COVID 19 cases and for announcing lockdown relaxations step by step in all the Districts category-wise.
Chief Minister recently announced relaxations for export units to function with 100% workers. However, the other Industries were permitted to work with only 33% of workers. In view of they appealed to the Chief Minister to consider and announce relaxations at least from the 5th July 2021 for the following in Coimbatore District.
1) The Industries of all the sectors should be allowed to function with 100% employees with standard COVID protocols.
2) The other traders hither to not permitted may be allowed to keep their shops open and to work with the COVID protocols.
3) Public transport to be allowed with 50% passengers for the benefit of ordinary people.
They assured to take the responsibility to follow the strict guidelines and COVID 19 protocols in the functioning of Trade and Industrial Sectors.
