3 drivers arrested for mining sand without relevant documents: JCB trucks seized
Coimbatore: Three drivers were arrested near Coimbatore for digging for sand without documents and JCB trucks were confiscated.
Coimbatore Karumathampatti Revenue Analyst Ambika on receiving information that sand digging is taking place in a vacant lot in Pappampatti area she rushed to the spot to inspect.
It was found that two trucks were digging sand using JCB without proper documents and then informed the Karumathampatti police. Police arrived at the spot and arrested the lorry driver Suresh, 35, JCB, driver Ajith, 25, and Arunkumar, 24, of SS Kulam area. They confiscated JCB and lorries used to load sand. They are looking for Mohanraj from Sulur who absconded.
