Police seize 16 litres of toddy in Kinathukadavu; 2 arrested
Coimbatore: Kinathukadavu Sub-Inspector of Police and other police officials were patrolling the Govindanaickenur area on the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border near Kinathukadavu when they suspected a youth who was passing by to be carrying something illegal.
On investigating the youth, it was discovered that he was in possession of 10 litres of toddy which was reportedly brought from Kerala.
Following this, when the police arrested and interrogated the man, he was identified as Ravindran (18) who hailed from the Pachapalayam area. Following a tip-off received by the police, officials also raided a farm in 10 Nemmermuthur area and found toddy pots tied to coconut trees. The police seized 6 litres of toddy and arrested Gnanaprakash (40).
