Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner inspects development work and instructs field staff on taking fever tests.
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner Raja Gopal Sunkara inspected the development work being carried out in the South Zone of the Coimbatore Corporation and inspected the work of the field workers.
Field workers go door-to-door in Ward No.94, 97, Coimbatore Corporation South Zone and carry out cold, flu, cough test, body temperature test and oxygen detection with pulse oximeter. The Corporation Commissioner said“In coronavirus prevention work, field workers go door-to-door and their work is the most important task. Fieldworkers must inspect everyone in the home without fail while on duty.

Everyone should work wearing a mask and wash their hands frequently with disinfectant. Everyone should be vaccinated." He then instructed teh sanitary staff regarding the cleaning work in the South Zone, Ward No.99.

He then inspected and No. 97, Kuniyamuthar and Kinathukkadavu Joint Drinking Water Project Operations of Water Pumping Station. The commissioner inquired about the level of chlorine in the drinking water at their pumping station.

Following this, the Corporation Commissioner inspected the construction work of the overhead tank at Ward No.99 Sarada Mill in South Zone and the Community Hall being constructed at Ward No.99, Krishnasamy Nagar and instructed the officers to complete the construction work on time.

He then visited and inspected the development works in the South Zone, Ward No. 91, Chengulam, including the construction of retaining walls and road facilities.

He inquired about the activities of the Micro Composting Center at Ward No.90, Coimbatore. Later, the Corporation Commissioner inspected the work of composting the compostable waste at the microbial composting center.

During the inspection, City Engineer A. Lakshmanan, South Zone Assistant Commissioner Saravanan, Executive Engineer Gnanavel, Assistant Chief Engineer Sundararajan, Zonal Health Officer Loganathan and Corporation Officers were present.
