Mass cleaning is being carried out in five zones in the Coimbatore Corporation areas to maintain hygiene.


Coimbatore: Debris that is stagnated in areas under Coimbatore Corporation is being removed to maintain sanitation. Mass Cleaning is ongoing in five zones in the Corporation.



Daily cleaning work is being carried out in 100 wards in five zones under the Corporation of Coimbatore. Sanitary staff collects household waste separately into compostable and non-compostable waste.



The corporation has further intensified this clean-up operation by removing long-standing debris in areas that have already been identified zone-wise.



Today mass cleaning was executed in East Zone ‌ Ward No.58 Indira Nagar Location-1, Ward No.58 Indira Nagar Location-2, Ward No.58 Shakthi Nagar, West Zone Ward No.8 Sivagami Nagar, Ward No.16 Central Access Colony, Ward No.15 Indira Gandhi Nagar, North Zone, Ward No.4, Appanaickenpalayam Road, Ward No.39, Purani Colony, Ward No.55, Karuppakkal Lay-out, South Zone, Ward No.76, Green Park Apartment Road, Ward No.85. Nagar, Ward No.99, Karuparayan Temple Road, Central Zone, Ward No.52 Bharathiar Road, Ward No.45, Rajiv Gandhi Road, Ward No.74, Kamaraj Nagar, by the sanitary staff who carried out the work of removing the debris from the roadside.
