All Cases filed against journalists during AIADMK regime curtailing freedom of expression will be withdrawn: TN CM MK Stalin announces in assembly


Coimbatore:DMK won the recent 2021 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and the first assembly session began on 21st June with a speech by the Governor. Following this, the Chief Minister addressed the Assembly today.

The first assembly session of the DMK government began on the 21st. Governor Banwarilal Purohit addressed the assembly.

This was followed by a debate on the Governor's speech on the 22nd and 23rd by all members of the Legislative Opposition. As the assembly ends today, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu delivered the final address on the Governor's speech today. CM MK Stalin then answered all the questions and demands made by various legislators over the past two days.

He then made various announcements. In that he made an announcement that all cases against those who protested against the Kudankulam nuclear power plant, including those against those involved in the struggle against methane and ethane drilling, eight-lane road, would be dropped.

It was followed by the announcement that all cases against freedom of expression against journalists during the AIADMK regime would be dropped. The announcement was welcomed by all in the press.
