Police seize more than 300 bottles of liquor and 26 two-wheelers in Pollachi
Coimbatore: Government liquor stores have been closed in the Coronavirus affected district of Coimbatore.
Liquor lovers from Coimbatore, Pollachi and its environs have startedgoing to Kerala as liquor stores have opened in Kerala and Dindigul districts. And the gang that gets the bottles of wine from there is selling them on the black market in Coimbatore.

Following this, the Pollachi Alcohol and Drugs Prohibition Police confiscated 16 two-wheelers and confiscated more than 200 bottles of liquor brought in a two-wheeler during a vehicle inspection in areas including Veerappagoundanur on the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border.

Similarly in Vadakkipalayam police led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Tamilmani have seized 150 bottles of liquor, 14 liters of toddy and 10 two-wheelers used for smuggling during a vehicle inspection in Gopalapuram and Govindapuram areas. They have filed a case and are investigating.
