Authorities take action by imposing fine against 8 factories for operating without permission in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: There have been several complaints from Irugur Kamathchipuram, which is part of the Sulur Union in Coimbatore district.
The municipality received several complaints stating that companies are operating in violation of lockdown rules in the area. Following this, municipal officials, including Municipal Executive Officer Rajendran, went directly to the companies operating without permission. City officials advised that it was not appropriate to work without a social distancing during Covid-19. After finding that more employees were employed at the time.
The companies were then fined Rs 5,000 for violating the lockdown. Eight companies were fined, including the power locomotive and machinery factories and the hosiery company that operated in both areas.
