Tahsildar inspects Valparai Government High School for lodging public in the event of floods in Valparai
Coimbatore: With the onset of the southwest monsoon since the beginning of June, inspections are underway to move public to safety in the event of a disaster. Led by the Valparai Tahsildhar, the Public Works Department, the Electricity Department and the Fire Department carried out inspections across Valparai.
Last year, as a precautionary measure in ensuring the safety of people on the banks of the river in times of disaster, the administration lodged people at the Valparai Government Arts College. This year, the Valparai Government Boy's High School was inspected to ensure safety of the public in the event of a disaster since the Arts College campus had been converted into a Covid-19 treatment center. He also consulted with authorities on how to keep the public safe at the Government Men's High School. Valparai Tahsildhar Rajan, High School Principal Sivanraj, Police and Fire Department attended the event.
