Kozhikadai Ganesan petitions District Collector to remove trees that could endanger homes during southwest monsoon in Valparai
Coimbatore: Former City Council Chairman Kozhikadai Ganesan has filed a petition with the District Collector G S Sameeran to remove trees that could be uprooted during the onset of the southwest monsoon and cause damage to houses in Valparai area.
Heavy rains have been lashing Valparai in Coimbatore district since the beginning of June and trees have been uprooted causing damage to both public and their property in areas like Gandhi Nagar, Valaiyal Kadai Street residential areas, Water Tank quarters, Thiruvalluvar Nagar and the Public Works Department residential areas.

Former Valparai City Council Chairman Kozhikadai Ganesan submitted a petition to the District Collector after inspecting the vaccination camp for the physically-challenged, and requested the district administration to remove trees that could be uprooted during the rainy season to avoid casualties and damage to houses.
