Liquor bottles seized during vehicle inspection in the Kandegavundarchavady area
Coimbatore: Tipplers in Coimbatore have resorted to smuggling liquor bottles on two-wheelers from Palakkad to the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border, in the wake of Kerala relaxing restictions after a long Covid-19 lockdown period.
Bottles of liquor were seized by police during a vehicle inspection at the Kandekavundarchavady, a Tamil Nadu check post on the Walayar border.
Police who were inspecting if there were vehicles carrying liquor on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, found the liquor bottles being smuggled on a two-wheeler.
