Five districts, including the Coimbatore Nilgiris, are likely to receive heavy rains: Meteorological Department
Coimbatore: Chennai Meteorological Department has forecast thundershowers in a few districts in Tamil Nadu for the next 5 days due to temperature differences.
The northern coastal districts, Pondicherry, Karaikal as well as the Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni and Dindigul districts in Tamil Nadu will experience light to moderate rain with thundershowers at one or two places. The Meteorological Department has forecasted most likely dry weather in other districts.
Heavy showers with thundershowers are forecasted at one or two places in the Nilgiris, Coimbatore and Theni districts and thundershowers at several places in Tirupur, Dindigul, Tenkasi, Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu and Pondicherry areas along the remaining Western Ghats are likely to experience dry weather.
