176 Litres of Karnataka IMFL seized at Gudalur PS limit
The Nilgiris: Gudalur police have confiscated 176 Litres of Karnataka IMFL.
Investigations have revealed that Vimalanathan (38), son of Velusamy from 2nd Mile, Gudalur, Arun Kumar (36) son of Velusamy, 2nd Mile, Gudalur and Prabhakaran (34), son of Selvaraj, Gandhinagar, Newhope were involved in smuggling of alcohol. Police confiscated 176 Bottles (1 litre each) of Old Admiral Brandy.
The accused were in illegal possession of Karnataka State Liquor Bottles meant for sale. Based on a tip-off, the Gudalur Pro Raid team nabbed the liquor smugglers. They arrested Arun Kumar and Prabhakaran. The main accused Vimalanathan is absconding. Police have registered a case and the arrested men are expected to be remanded.
