Tea estate workers donate funds for Chief Minister’s Covid prevention campaign in Valparai
Coimbatore: Thaimudi LT tea estate which is located near Valparai in Coimbatore district and employs over 400 workers has set a noble example in Valparai amidst the pandemic.
The estate workers donated their one day salary of Rs. 45,000 to the CM's Relief Fund. Tahsildar Raja lauded the gesture of the workers at the event which was attended by a large number of workers.
The impact of the second wave of Covid-19 has adversely affected people everywhere, as well as in Tamil Nadu. Hence, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M K Stalin requested the public to donate generously towards the Covid relief fund, to help combat the virus.
With help pouring in from all quarters of the state, both industries and indivduals, the tea estate workers' intention to also help out of their wages is truly commendable.
