Tamil Nadu Agricultural University ranks third in All India rankings of Agricultural Universities
Coimbatore: According to a study conducted by Education World, Coimbatore's Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has been ranked first among the agricultural universities in South India and third in India.
Education World Magazine has published a list of top educational institutions across India based on the development of quality and campus infrastructure, globalization, promotion of leadership qualities and management skills and curricula over time. Qualification and teaching skills of teachers working in educational institutions, the well-being and development of teachers in educational institutions, the use of new types of research projects and innovations, syllabi and quality new teaching methods and the enhancement of employment as a college student are some of the criteria taken into consideration during ranking of universities.
'TNAU in Coimbatore is ranked first among the South Indian Agricultural Universities, third among 63 Agricultural Universities in India and 53rd out of 150 overall universities in India,' said Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. 'Due to the quality efforts of the scientists working in the research and college centers of the University, the scores of the above factors have reached 1001 in 2021, which is more than last year when it was 801. I hope that in the years to come, the University will be ranked among the Top 10 of all universities and first among the agricultural universities due to the tireless work of the University's faculty, students and non-faculty members,' opined the Vice Chancellor of TNAU.
