Cybercrime police urge public to remain vigilant as online fraud continues.
Coimbatore: District cybercrime police have warned the public to be vigilant as online scams are now rampant. Coimbatore District Cyber Crime Police have said that many people are calling pretending to secure a job and pay for it in advance.
In such cases they advise the public to disconnect the call and report it to the police. Women should avoid uploading their photos on social networking sites and in case if they are threatened with 'morphing' the photos and posting them on a social networking site, you can immediately report them to the nearest cyber crime police. The Curber crime department has asked to avoid touching the 'link' in text messages that come unnecessarily to the mobile phone.
They asked not to be fooled into believing unfamiliar people on WhatsApp who claim to double money in pretence of a bank loan.
