International Yoga Day: Yoga session for medical staffs, volunteers and covid patients in Codissia held
Coimbatore: As today marks the seventh international day of Yoga, celebrations across india and globe has been muted due to coronavirus.
Leading from the front advising people to follow yoga, Prime Minister Narendra Modi avoided mass sessions this year and addressed the nation virtually, stressing on the importance of avoiding crowds to stop the spread further.
However, ensuring all the protocols followed, medical staff at Covid ward in Codissia complex have organised a yoga session to reduce the stress level of patients admitted for the treatment away from their loved ones. Staying away from their loved ones have impacted them in several ways and to bring them back to normal from their stress, we organised a yoga session on this seventh international yoga day, said the volunteer who also joined the session.
There are chances that few patients might experience some breathing problems and with breathing exercise it can be reduced nor cured, said a temporarily posted staff upon asked what exercises are being done. The district is now slowly opening up as the daily cases continue to see dip in the last 25 days in the severe lockdown.
