Tamil Nadu Untouchability Abolition Front and Tamil Nadu Agrarian Union protest in Tiruppur to withdraw decision causing caste segregation in the rural work program.
Tirupur: The Central Government has directed the State Governments to publish the caste-based list of the salaries of the workers working in the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Scheme across the country.

Workers are protesting against this as it should not cause caste segregation and demanded to increase the 100-day program to 200 days.

The Tamil Nadu Untouchability Abolition Front and the Tamil Nadu Farmers' Union staged a protest in front of the Tirupur District Collector's Office demanding that they be paid within 15 days.
