People fear as leopard that attacked a boy has not been caught for over two months in Valparai
Coimbatore: Two weeks ago, a boy was attacked and injured by a leopard at the Sholayar Estate next to Valparai in Coimbatore district.
The forest department set up a cage to trap the leopard in two places at the spot where the boy was attacked and at another place, following surveillance cameras. Similarly, in Valparai, the Forest Department has taken steps to keep cages in two places due to the increase in leopard movements.
The people in the area are in great fear and the forest department is constantly monitoring the area day and night to capture the leopard. The public has demanded that the forest department take appropriate action to capture the leopard and release it in the dense forest.
