The Tamil Nadu government has declared a full curfew to control the second wave of corona epidemic in Tamilnadu. As part of this, banks and fair price shops, milk and pharmacies are allowed to operate. Due to this, a large number of the general public are roaming around Valparai.
On the orders of Valparai Police Inspector Maheshwari, Sub-Inspector Ramachandran, the police have set up roadblocks and are conducting vehicle checks. They record the numbers of oncoming vehicles. Unwanted vehicles are sent back. Returning vehicles will be fined and action will be taken. Also, they are taking action by condemning and fining those who walk on the road unnecessarily.
