Corporation Commissioner visits and inspects coronavirus prevention and sanitation works in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner inspected the ongoing Coronavirus Prevention and Sanitation work in the North zone of Coimbatore and requested that everyone wear a face mask and be vaccinated.
Corporation Commissioner asked the sanitary workers who are cleaning in the areas ofHealth Department Office Complex at Pioneer Mill Road, Peelamedu, North Zone, Ward No.38 to be on duty on time. They were asked to do their assigned tasks very well. He said garbage collected from households should be segregated as compostable garbage, non-compostable garbage should be collected, everyone should work wearing a mask and everyone should be vaccinated.
He inspected the field workers going door to door in the North Zone, Ward No. 28 to 31 in the Saravanampatti Health department office premises and inquired about the details of the work of measuring oxygen level with a pulse oximeter. He said fieldworkers should check everyone in the house and wear a face mask while working and wash hands frequently with disinfectant. He then asked everyone to be vaccinated.
Mass Cleaning Inspection:
This was followed by inspection of Mass Cleaning in Ward No.42, Udayampalayam Road area by the sanitary workers who engaged in disposal of garbage on the roadside.
Following this, he inspected Central Zone Ward No.72, V.O.C. park area.
He inspected the zoo, inquired about the diet and maintenance of the birds and animals in the zoo.
During the inspection, City Engineer A. Lakshmanan, North Zone Coronavirus Monitoring Officer Menaka, North Zone Regional Assistant Commissioner Mohanasundari, VOC Zoo Director Dr. A. Senthilnathan, Assistant Engineers Karuppusamy, Senthil Bhaskar, Zonal Health Officer Ramachandran and Corporation officials were present.
