Appreciations pour in for Gandhipuram Special Sub-Inspector for repairing pothole at main junction in Gandhipuram
Coimbatore: At the Coimbatore Gandhipuram main junction, due to various reasons and rains, the road at the main junction was damaged and there was huge pothole causing accidents.
Today the pit was repaired by the immediate action of the Gandhipuram Special Sub-Inspector for the benefit of the people with humanity. Appreciations are pouring in for Jyothikumar, 54, is a Special Sub-Inspector in the Law and Order Division at the Kattoor Police Station, Gandhipuram, Coimbatore and has been on duty at vehicle inspection near the signal.
For the past 10 days a large pit was formed due to rain in the center of the road on the way back to the 100-foot road on Sathy Road. Special Sub-Inspector Jyotikumar was monitoring the area as more than 10 people fell and were injured in the accident. Last night he decided to resolve this and bought the cement and sand at his own expense and repaired it overnight. Employees on behalf of the corporation were engaged in sanitary work in the area this morning.

He called 2 of them and insisted that the pit be repaired immediately and the road be levelled. They agreed to do it and immediately under their supervision the pit on this road was repaired.

Jayachitra, a member of the Home Guard, assisted in this. Other Gandhipuram policemen assisted in the task of diverting vehicles that could pass through the area as work was underway.

Within an hour the pit on the road was closed. Motorists and public using the was relieved and happy. The incident began to spread virally on social media and appreciation has been pouring in Special Sub-Inspector Jyothikumar by the public and motorists.
