'Clean GH drive:' Industry gives back to society by cleaning Covid-19 wards
Coimbatore: The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Coimbatore, Coimbatore Cancer Foundation and CSR arms of Pricol and Messer Cutting Systems have joined forces to aid the process of sanitation in Government Hospitals, by cleaning Covid-19 wards.
Sources who took up the initiative say that the effort was made due to lack of proper maintenance in sanitation at CMCH, though the doctors and nurses have gone all out on a war footing to treat patients effectively in the Covid-19 wards.

15 expereienced housekeeping staff have also been deputed to take care of the premises daily and provided with all the necessary materials required for sanitation.

Under 'CLEAN GH' drive, the industries have offered to handle the cleaning of Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH), the Covid admission area, Covid-19 ward and the Covid-19 ward washrooms.
Sources from CMCH were not available for any comment.
