Youth commits suicide in Coimbatore over tiff with fiancee
Coimbatore: Thennarasu (23) is the son of Anandan, a labourer residing at a slum clearance board quarters near Podanur, Coimbatore. Thennarasu was reportedly in love with a teenager from the same area for the past few years and had been in touch over the phone as well as met in person several times. Since the parents had found out about their love affair, they had fixed the duo's marriage fornext month.
After a disagreement between the duo over phone calls for the past few days, the young girl reportedly avoided talking to Thennarasu. Depressed over the lack of communication from his fiancee, Thennarasu ended his life by hanging himself when no one was at home on Thursday. His parents were devastated when they found him hanging in the house and informed the police.
The police immediately rushed to the spot to recover the young man's body and sent it to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for autopsy. Police have filed a case under section 174 regarding the suicide.
