Heavy rains in Valparai: Water levels rise in dams
Coimbatore: Valparai received 39 mm of rainfall, Sholayar Dam received 52 mm, Nirar Dam received 100 mm and Chinnakallar received 107 mm of rainfall.
The maximum rainfall of 10.7 cm was recorded at Chinnakallar. The water supply to Sholayar Dam is 2822.32 cubic feet per second and the water level of the dam is 3295.70 cubic feet. 1505.65 TMC of water is currently stored in the dam. The height of the dam is 165 feet and the water is currently 65.70 feet high
