Kurichi-Kuniyamuthur joint water supply project pipe breaks in Kinathukadavu: Over 1 lakh liter of water wasted
Coimbatore: Drinking water is supplied to Kurichi and Kuniyamuthur areas of Coimbatore District from Pollachi Ambarampalayam River using underground pipes through Kinathukadavu.
The Kuniyamuthur drinking water project pipeline that runs through Kinathukkadavu broke down today in front of the Kinathukadavu Government Girls' High School. Over one lakh liters of water that gushed out of the pipes was wasted on the road. On behalf of the Drinking Water Drainage Board, they have stopped the water supply through the Kurichi Kuniyamuthur drinking water pipe and are engaged in repairing the broken water pipe in Kinathukadavu.

The Drinking Water Drainage Board has informed that the water will be re-opened for the Kuniyamuthur joint drinking water project after the repair work of the broken pipe is completed.
