Newly-appointed Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner inspects Covid-19 prevention activities in Corporation areas
Coimbatore: A review meeting with the Chief Officers of the Department on Coronavirus Prevention, Sanitation and Drinking Water Works was held at the Corporation Head Office, Coimbatore under the chairmanship of Raja Gopal Sunkara, the new Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner.
Deputy Corporation Commissoner, S Madhuranthagi and other officials were also present.

The Corporation Commissioner inspected the swab test at the Covid Care Center at the St. Francis Matriculation School near the Central Government Hospital in Coimbatore.

He also inspected the Coronavirus control room set up at the R S Puram Corporation Kalaiarangam in West Zone and inspected the ongoing work of providing medical advice to isolated persons by contacting them through their phone numbers on computers.

Later, he inquired about the methods of treating Covid-19 patients at the Covid Care Center set up in CODISSIA, East Zone. He also studied the details of people being treated for the infection which were being uploaded on the computer. Assistant Collector (Training) Saranya, Urban Health Officer Dr. Raja, Executive Engineer Saravavanakumar, East Zonal Health Officer Chandran and Corporation Officers were also present during the inspection.
Thereafter, the Corporation Commissioner visited the Coronavirus Prevention Center at St. Francis Matriculation School, Coimbatore Central Zone and inspected the Swab Test procedures. He also inquired about the progress of the diagnosis of colds, flu and cough.

He then also inquired about the details of the examination conducted by the public at the Coronavirus Test Swab Test Center set up at the St. Francis Matriculation School, Central Zone, Coimbatore. He then inspected the ongoing swab test and the procedure of diagnosing colds, flu and cough. He was accompanied by Dr. Raja, the City Health Officer.
