MP PR Natarajan MP donates groceries to 500 poor families affected by lockdown due to Covid-19
Coimbatore: A lockdown has been in place in Coimbatore district for the past 20 days due to the coronavirus.
Several industries are not in operation and the ordinary poor lower-middle class families are suffering without income. Following this, the Marxist parties have been engaged in a series of relief operations. Following this, on behalf of the Marxist and Ratnapuri Women's Federation, groceries and fruit and vegetable packages worth about one lakh and ten thousand rupees were distributed to women in the Ratnapuri area of Coimbatore on Saturday.
The event was inaugurated by Marxist Party Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan. It was attended by CPIM District Secretary V. Ramamurthy, District Executive Committee Member Velusamy, North City Council Secretary NR Murugesan and West Arima Sangam Babu, Ranjith Catering Owner Ranjith and Ratnapuri Federation executives.
