Coimbatore North District Youth Congress protest in front of petrol bunks against central government for fuel price hike
Coimbatore: Coimbatore North District Youth Congress protest in front of petrol bunks against central government for fuel price hike across the district in four assembly constituencies by District Youth Congress President G V Naveen Kumar.
Following the lockdown rules, the protest was conducted with social distancing and wearing masks and with 10 people only in every venue.
Kavundampalayam Assembly protest was headed by District President G.V.Naveen Kumar, Raguraman in Vilankurichi and with Samuel Dass in Saravanampatti.
The Thondamuthur Assembly protest was headed by Sachithananthan in Thondamuthur, Agash in RS Puram, Faisal in Karumbukadai, Srinivasan Mettupalayam Assembly and Vishnu in Karamadai. The Sulur Assembly protest was organised by Balaji and Nandhakumar in Karumathampatti and Kolathur.
The petrol price is reaching to Rs.100 and it's an all time high in Indian History.Because of huge taxes (more than 300 percent) the fuel price is hiked even the crude oil price is decreasing. They accused that the diesel price hike will increase the price of all the essential commodities and common people cannot afford it.
The Coimbatore North District Youth Congress by this protest requested and insisted the Union Government to reduce the tax and bring fuel prices into GST.
