Congress workers protest in Pollachi against petrol and diesel price hikes
Coimbatore: The rise in petrol and diesel prices has come as a shock to motorists. Various protests have been held on behalf of the Congress party across the country condemning the petrol and diesel prices.
As part of this, the Congress Committee staged a protest by standing in a bullock cart in front of petrol bunks on Palakkad Road and Coimbatore Road.
Slogans were then raised condemning the increase in petrol and diesel prices and calling for the resignation of the central government.
The parties condemned the sharp rise in prices of essential commodities, which will hit the poor and middle class hardest due to rising petrol and diesel prices.
