15 friends donated purified water machines worth Rs. 50,000 to 4 Government Primary Health Centers and Government Hospitals
Coimbatore: 15 friends from Coimbatore have donated as much as they can to provide purified water dispensers to a total of 4 primary health care facilities and Coimbatore Government Hospital.
Ramakrishnan, a member of the Friends Group, said, 'We have been friends since we were 15 years old. Our friendship started at Pappanaickenpalayam Mani School and continued even at the college. We studied at two colleges, PSG College of Arts and Sciences and SNR College of Arts and Sciences. Our friendship continued though all my friends, including me, have been working in various companies since graduating from college. As Covid-19 second wave has caused heavy damage, on behalf of our group of friends we decided to do welfare assistance to help people. More assistance is being provided to government hospitals, including the ESI hospital. We decided we needed some welfare assistance at the primary health center. Accordingly, 4 Primary Health Centers and Coimbatore Government Hospital have been provided with automatic purification (Hot, Cold, Normal) drinking water dispensers at a total of five locations today.'

He said, 'We have each paid our dues for this. The price of a machine is 10 thousand rupees. We collected a total of Rs. 50,000 and purchased these machines and donated them to Uppilipalayam Primary Health Center, Udayampalayam Primary Health Center, Peelamedu, Pioneer Mill Road Primary Health Center and Vilankurichi Primary Health Center today. We are going to deliver a machine to Coimbatore Government Hospital tomorrow morning. Singanallur Assembly constituency MLA Jayaram personally appreciated and congratulated the government for our assistance to primary health centers. We plan to do some more assistance in the coming days. We are not sharing this message to promote ourselves. We are sharing this message for the purpose that many like this should come forward to make their contribution and serve the people.'
