Corporation Commissioner launches Covid-19 treatment for public through Telemedicine App in Corporation areas

Coimbatore: CBECORP VMed app has been launched to provide treatment to the public through telemedicine in the areas under Coimbatore Corporation.

Corporation Commissioner P Kumaravel Pandian launched the App at an event in Kalaiarangam in R S Puram. Due to the lockdown currently in force, public will be able to seek medical treatment through telemedicine in collaboration with Dhanush Healthco on behalf of the Coimbatore Corporation to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection. Accessing a doctor or hospital for normal treatment will now be possible through CBECORP VMed, an Android processor.

The public can use the App to get the treatment they need from the respective doctors through video call for free, round-the-clock. People with symptoms related to Covid-19 can consult the doctor about the symptoms and necessary arrangements will be made for the person to be tested for Covid-19, if necessary, by relevant authorities. This will allow the elderly, children and caregivers to get the medical treatment they need from home without any hassle. CBECORP VMed can be downloaded at http://qrgo.page.link/sby6R and people can register using their phone number.

The Corporation Commissioner requested the public to make use of this App. The event was attended by Corporation Health Officer, Dr. Raja, Dhanush Healthco Adviser K Jayakumar and Corporation officials. Coimbatore Corporation Covid-19 helpline is 0422-24585800.
