Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner inspects Covid-19 prevention activities in South Zone of Coimbatore
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, S Kumaravel Pandian personally inspected ongoing Coronavirus prevention activities in the south zones of Coimbatore on Wednesday.
He visited Selvapuram Urban Primary Health Center under Ward No.86, South Zone, Coimbatore Corporation and inquired from the nurses about the treatment available to the public there.
He also visited isolated houses in Ward No.76, Muthusamy Colony. Residents of isolated houses were asked about the availability of essential items and also enquired whether the field workers visited them everyday.
Following that, the Corporation Commissioner personally visited the medical camp held by the Corporation in the area. He enquired about the methods of diagnosing colds and flu, the methods of detecting oxygen levels by pulse oximeter and the methods of detecting heat levels with thermometer.
Later, the Corporation Commissioner inspected the isolated houses in Ward No.99, in Anna Indira Nagar.
During the inspection, P Gandhimathi, the South Zone Monitoring Officer, Saravanan, Assistant Commissioner of South Zone, Sundarajan, the Assistant Engineer, Zonal Health Officers, Health Inspectors, Health Supervisors and Corporation officials were present.
