Coimbatore: A petition has been filed in the District Collector's Office on behalf of the Hindu Munnani seeking relief from corona for auto drivers in the wake of the Corona epidemic.
In a petition filed with the District Collector on behalf of the Coimbatore Hindu Front, he said, “Auto workers have been severely affected by the Corona curfew. We humbly request the Government of Tamil Nadu to announce concessions to save auto workers from the current state of curfew crisis so that auto drivers can eat only if they drive on a daily basis.
Compensation of Rs. 5000 / - per month for auto drivers till the general freeze is in force. Vehicle insurance and taxes should be halved.
On behalf of the Hindu Auto Workers' Munnani, we humbly request that the banks issue orders to waive the monthly loan amount received in the name of the vehicles until the end of the curfew to protect the families of the auto drivers affected by the corona curfew.
