Authorities seal mill near Coimbatore for violating government regulations
Coimbatore: A spinning mill near Coimbatore has been sealed off for violating the Government lockdown. The Tamil Nadu Government has announced an additional lockdown for another week with various relaxations. The private sector was allowed to operate with only 50 percent of the workforce.
The Sulur tahsildhar received information that a privately-owned spinning mill was operating in the Peedampalli area near Sulur in Coimbatore district with a large number of employees. Following this, on the instructions of the Sulur Tahsildar Shakuntalamani, Peedampalli Grama Niladhari Officer Vasanthabalan and Sulur Police Station Inspector Murugesan sealed the private mill and imposed a fine.
