Consultative meeting at Coimbatore District Collectorate headed by Chief Secretary Iraianbu on Coronavirus prevention measures Higher Officials from two districts participate
Coimbatore: A week-long lockdown has been declared in Coimbatore district as daily coronavirus cases increase. Coimbatore has the highest number of coronavirus infections in Tamil Nadu.
The Government of Tamil Nadu is taking serious measures to control this. A consultative meeting was held at the Coimbatore District Collector's Office under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu Iraianbu. Coronavirus prevention measures taken in Coimbatore and Tirupur districts were discussed in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Special Officer Jagannathan, Health Secretary Radhakrishnan, Coimbatore District Collector Nagarajan, Tirupur District Collector Vijaya Karthikeyan, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian and Health and Revenue Department officials.
Officials said a press release would be issued on the decisions made in the consultation meeting.
