Valparai: Food and groceries were provided to the Valparai Indigenous People and Differently ambled through the Coimbatore Vision Charitable Trust.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Coimbatore Vision Charitable Trust, which provided food and groceries in the Valparai area during the second coronavirus curfew in effect, said 'We are very grateful to our District Collector and DTWO for supporting our food service program.

We got a very positive response in the form of like-minded people who contributed Rs.770/ - many times over for food items. Our participants are proud of our work and we are delighted to be ready to use Vision Charitable Trust as a forerunner to implement Seva projects.

The current number is about 20 tons of groceries. They are distributed to tribal areas and have different capacities.

We started this work from Valparai, especially transgender people, who, as we felt, deserve a little more care and support during these difficult times. Vision Charitable Trust will cover Cuddalore, Mettupalayam, Anaikatti and Kodaikanal in the coming days.

The Vision Charitable Trust is true to the adage ‘the strength of unity’. The Foundation was able to form commitment committees on packing, transportation, data collection and organization, to implement the project smoothly and error-free. Thank you to all the loving hearted people who gave their physical effort to bring smiles on the faces of deserving people.'
