World environment day 2021: A Coimbatore based foundation plants trees at PPG campus Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Due to Coronavirus, mass tree plantation programs are not happening this year.
To address the world’s environment day, Coimbatore based Iyarkai Foundation planted trees in PPG campus by following all Covid norms.
DFO, D.Venkatesh, AFO, Senthil Kumar, HDFC Mettupalayam branch officer Naresh Kumar, Principal, PPG college, principal, Dr. N.Muthumani, Joint correspondent, Akshay Thangavelu, Dr.V.Haridas, NSS program officer attended the program. DFO, ACF, Members from Iyarkai Foundation, principal, Correspondent’s son, HDFC manager, NSS program officer and few other volunteers from NSS participated in the tree planting ceremony.
Vinoth Raj, founder of Iyarkai foundation said these trees are planted for covid environment. “Since many people are suffering due to the lack of oxygen, in order to address this, the event has been conducted” he told.
